so i have been seeing a lot of girls sporting floral head bands lately and i thought to myself it can't be that hard..i'm sure i made one many moons ago when i was in grade 5 so i went to my local lincraft and bought some fake flowers and bobs your uncle a floral head band.
YOU WILL NEED:
- A hot glue gun (and glue sticks)
- Fake flowers (different sizes are great)
- a metal/plastic head band
- glitter glue (optional)
- ribbon (i used glitter ribbon)
STEP ONE: First wrap the ribbon around the head band so you wont
see the metal when you wear it.glue at the ends so it wont come off.
STEP TWO: starting from the middle of the head band (so it will be balanced, but you totally dont have to) glue flowers how ever you like and as many as you like untill you have covered the metal headband. i glued mine big-small-big-small
STEP THREE: get your glitter glue (i used the colour CRYSTAL) and decorate however you like. i put mine in the middle of every flower bud and then sprinkled more glitter over the headband. some stuck to the random stands of hot glue, i wasn't being too neat as sometimes the mistakes are the best part.
this is really a cheap and easy D.I.Y and it only took me about 15mins to make.
when i'm having a flat day i like to wear it at my 9-5 job and it keeps me in a good mood whilst dealing with demanding customers.i do get quiet a few funny looks when i wear it on my break but seriously it makes me happy and thats all that matters.
